If you want your dog's attention - pay attention to your dog!
I truly believe training your dog should be fun for both you and your dog - therefore my training style takes a non - force approach and serves to strenghten your working relationship with your dog. I believe once you find whatever it is that motivates your dog it goes a long way to having a dog that is willing to work and happily learn new behaviors. This brings about complete trust between you and your dog and will lead to a lifelong companionship.
Some people worry that if they use food as a reward/lure then they will only have a dog that listens to them when they have a treat. Food is used in the learning stages of a new behavior or in the beginning stages of changing an unwanted behavior in a dog to do something more desirable, but it is steadily faded once the dog learns the command or new and more appropriate behavior.
"Lots of people talk to Animals.......Not very many listen, though..........
That's the problem."
